I work at the intersection of two questions every organization faces: how do we grow and transform faster — and how do we stay secure while doing so?
I'm a technology, cybersecurity and business-unit executive with experience spanning regulated financial services, enterprise infrastructure, digital transformation and technology business-building. I have held Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer mandates concurrently in the financial sector — pairing enterprise transformation with cybersecurity, governance and risk. My career began building infrastructure and one of the earliest enterprise security architectures in Egyptian finance; it has since taken me through IBM's regional security leadership, business-building for an IBM partner in Saudi Arabia, and co-founding a cybersecurity consultancy. I am an ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, and I believe technology leaders must speak two languages fluently — the board's and the engine room's.
